Getting started
1Go to Settings → Integrations in Clear Tangle
2Click “Connect Google Calendar”
3Sign in to your Google account and authorize access
4Your primary calendar is automatically added
5Toggle additional calendars on/off as needed
MULTI-ACCOUNT
You can connect multiple Google accounts to a single Clear Tangle account. Each account shows separately in Settings with its own calendars.
Event information captured
Clear Tangle syncs the following information from your calendar events:
Time & durationEvent start time, end time, duration, and timezone information. All-day events are tracked separately.
Meeting linksGoogle Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other conference links are captured for quick access.
AttendeesOrganizer information and attendee count help the AI understand meeting importance.
LocationEvent location information, useful for understanding if travel time is needed.

When connected, Clear Tangle’s AI uses your calendar context to provide smarter task recommendations:
Focus block detectionIdentifies gaps between meetings ideal for deep work tasks
Meeting-heavy day warningsAlerts when a day has 5+ hours of meetings, suggesting lighter tasks
Pre-meeting bufferAvoids scheduling intensive tasks right before important meetings
Back-to-back awarenessSuggests breaks or light tasks when you have consecutive meetings
Daily meeting loadShows total meeting time per day to help balance your schedule
48-HOUR WINDOW
AI planning considers your calendar events for the next 48 hours. This helps balance immediate priorities with upcoming commitments.
Managing calendars
Control which calendars sync with Clear Tangle:

PERMISSIONS REQUESTED
Clear Tangle requests only calendar read permissions (
calendar.readonly, calendar.events.readonly) plus basic profile info (email, name, picture) to identify your account.Troubleshooting
Events not showing up?Try clicking “Sync Calendars” in Settings. Make sure the calendar is toggled on. Events sync for the next 2 days only.
Sync error message?If you see a sync error, try disconnecting and reconnecting your Google account. This refreshes the OAuth tokens.
Missing calendars?Only calendars you have access to in Google Calendar will appear. Shared calendars may need to be explicitly granted access.
